Have you ever wanted to make bread but the thought of having to knead it for a couple of good minutes made you give up?
If your answer is yes, then you must try this one! The only thing about it is that you have to let it rest for 12 hours before you put it in the oven.

INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams of white flour;
- 400 ml of room temperature water;
- 7 grams of salt;
- 2 grams of dry yeast or 4 grams of fresh yeast;
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bigger bowl mix with a wooden spoon all the ingredients until everything is combined and you get a sticky dough. If the flour is still not incorporated you can add 1 tablespoon of water and mix again. Repeat if needed;
- Cover the bowl with a plastic foil and leave it at room temperature for 12 hours;
After the 12 hours have passed:
- Preheat the oven at 230 degrees Celcius. If you are using an electric one then use this setting;
- Put inside a cast iron pot with a lid (or any high-temperature oven resistant pot) and leave it to heat for 15 minutes;
- Spread flour on a surface then pour the dough on the table;
- Sprinkle more flour on top and make sure your hands are covered in flour too so the dough will not stick to your hands. Make a round shape and place it on a parchment paper;
- Get the pot out of the oven, put the dough with the parchment paper in the pot, place the lid and put it in the oven for 55 minutes;
- After the first 30 minutes have passed, remove the lid and let it cook until it gets a nice color on top;
- Get it out of the oven, place it on a woodchopper then get some water in your hand and sprinkle it on top of the bread;
- Cover it with a towel and let it rest for 20-30 minutes;
How do you know that the bread is cooked enough?
Without turning the oven off, get the bread out and turn it over then knock on its bottom. If it sounds empty it’s done. If it sounds full then leave it for 10 more minutes.
