Do you love eating fish? If your answer is yes, then this recipe is for you! I have decided to share one of my favorite traditional Romanian recipes “Fish brine with vegetables” which in Romanian it would be something like “Saramura de peste”.
I know, long name, complicated words but a really easy recipe that I am sure everyone will love and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
- 4 mackerels or a few big slices of carp;
- 2 big tomatoes;
- 1 red peppers;
- 2 garlic cloves – crushed;
- 0.5 liters of tomatoes sauce;
- salt, pepper and thyme – about one teaspoon of each;
- optional: if you like your food spicy you can also add a small hot chilly pepper;

INSTRUCTIONS
- If you have an outdoor grill, well you’re lucky but if you don’t you can use a simple grill. Cook the tomatoes and the peppers on the grill until they are soft. Peel the skin that turned black off after grilling;
- Put the fish on the grill and cook until it’s done;
- In a big saucepan pour 1.5 liters of water, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and thyme (and the hot chilly pepper) and bring everything to a boil;
- After everything is boiling add the peppers (cut in slices) and the tomatoes (mashed with a fork);
- You can now taste the sauce and put more spices if you want to;
- Let it boil for another 2 minutes then turn the heat off. Place the fish into the saucepan and put the garlic on top;
- Let it rest for 15 minutes then serve it as it is or with a bit of polenta;
