If you have read my “What I eat in a day” post then you should remember that I’ve promised you all a new recipe. I like to spoil my mom and make her this meal from time to time and as she seems to enjoy it a lot I figure that you might like it too so here it is and as usual, please let me know if you’ve tried it & liked it!
Ingredients:
- whole grain pasta;
- 350 grams of shrimps – I buy the ones without “tail” (less or more depending on how much you want to make);
- 3 garlic cloves;
- butter;
- white wine;
- 2 sticks of spring onion;
- 1 cup of tomato sauce;
- salt and pepper;
- a bigger and deep pan;
Instructions:
- Chop up the garlic cloves and the spring onion (I usually chose not to put the whole onions leaves);
- Put them in your pan along with some butter – I cut a stick about 2 fingers thickness, and cook them until they become brown;
- Add your shrimps and pour as much white wine as you need to cover them then add some salt and pepper;
- You can now start making your pasta too just just boil them in some salted water for as long as the instructions demand;
- Let them cook for about 10 minutes or until the wine starts to reduce its volume but make sure you stir them from time to time;
- Add the tomato sauce, stir and let it cook on medium-low heat about 10 more minutes or until the sauce begins to thicken (the more you let them cook the less sauce you will have);
- After the pasta is done cooking and you reach the desire consistency for your sauce, drain the pasta and add it into the pan then stir them all together;
- Turn off the heat and let your meal sit for a bit before you put a nice portion on your plate;
