Somehow I love reading people’s posts about their skin care routine because I always get to learn abut new products. That’s why I’ve decided to write about my current morning skin care routine which will be followed by my night time skin care routine next week. So stay tuned if you want to see what products I am using that really improved my skin in the last month.
Also, let me know which products you think are a must for everyone in the comments down below.
Let’s get started!
1. Wash my face
The first thing I do is wash my face with just water in the morning. I saw an IGTV a while ago with a dermatologist saying that we don’t really need to use a face cleaner in the morning because we get rid of all the good oils in the skin (assuming that you took care of your skin the night before).
2. Thermal Spring Water

I don’t use this on a regular basis (even though I should) and I tend to apply it every time my skin has more redness as it’s supposed to have a calming effect on your skin. I found using thermal spring water really useful when I was tanning last summer and my nose got burned haha. It really helps your skin get better faster! I like to use this one from La Roche-Posay but I think any other will have the same effect.
3. Toner

I only recently purchased the Pixi Vitamin-C Tonic and I’ve been using it only a few times a week to see how my skin feels about it.
4. Moisturize

For moisturizer I use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel which I have to say that I love. It’s one of the fewest that works for my oily T-zone and dry cheeks area. It is also a good makeup base so if you don’t like to use primer, this gel cream is for you!
5. Always SPF

I’m being honest here, I don’t always use SPF but in the last few weeks I didn’t skip any day. I chose to use one from Apivita – Suncare Oil Balance Face Cream with SPF 30. What I love about this one is that it doesn’t have a strong fragrance and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky like some of the other ones do.
Do you have a morning skin care routine or do you keep it very simple?

Should you wash your face with water less? The answer is YES.

I don’t have much of a morning skin care routine. But I do need to get better at taking care of my skin and these suggestions really help. I’m the morning I’ll wash my face with water only and apply some moisturiser or moisturising sun cream (SPF50).
I’m glad you found this post useful☺️ a more minimalistic routine is often the right choice as you don’t feel the pressure to do a lot in the morning
I’ve recently started a “kind of morning skin routine” because I noticed my skin was wearing, however it’s very simple as I tend to get overwhelmed by regular things with lots of steps. In the morning I simply wash my face and moisturise with aloe vera moisturiser, then in the evening I remove my make-up, use a hot cloth cleanser from Elizabeth Arden, and then apply some serum. I’m currently using BioOil as I got a sample of it from a beauty calendar… It’s made a slight difference but not sure it’s worth the £125 you’re supposed to pay for it!
I’ve heard that you have to use the BioOil for a really long time before actually getting real results so I am not sure also if it’s really worth it…
I want to use fewer make up too and I found this one to work the best for my problematic skin
That’s good you’ve found some that work! I’ve also heard from a medical source that BioOil can damage hair and reduce growth over time so you have to avoid eyebrows etc… Of course this isn’t on the instructions though 🙄
Oh wow that’s scary!! 😟
Yeah, it’s made me realise that research is key when it comes to skin products (and other ones as well!)
Very true!🙌🏼
