The most common excuse for not keeping fit is that people have such busy lives they do not have time to go to a gym or do an exercise video. There is much more to keeping for than planned exercise though, and that excuse means nothing, as there are many other things you can do to stay fit and healthy whether you are lazy, short of time, disabled or…well anything really.
Drink More Water
Our bodies are 60% water and that need replenishing on a daily basis. If you are not drinking as much water as you need to, dehydration will start to set in. Your skin will suffer and all your vital organs will too. Aim for 8 glasses of water a day to keep your body as hydrated as it needs to be. Research has also shown that drinking enough water increases your energy levels and promotes weight loss.
Eat Healthily
A healthy diet goes a very long way toward making a healthy body. The principle that ‘you are what you eat’ is very true, and the more nutrients and good foods you consume the fitter and healthier you will be.
Cut out processed foods, junk foods, and sugary drinks and you will soon notice the difference in how much better you feel both physically and mentally.
Household Chores
The body needs exercise; of that there is no doubt. However, there are ways you can get this without messing up your lifestyle. Household chores are a typical example. Think how much effort it takes to vacuum your carpets, clean the bathrooms or your windows and you will soon realize that you are getting some exercise without leaving your home.
Next time you put off doing your household chores, just remember that they are your exercise too.
Gardening
It is said that gardening is one of the best exercises for people of all ages. The beauty of it is that you can do a bit each day and not really notice the effort it is taking. You will notice how much more relaxing your garden is to sit in though. The great thing about gardening is, even if you are not fully able-bodied, there are still things you can do out there.
If you are new to gardening you may have a lot to learn. There is all sorts of advice online to assist you, such as the Tristar products review. Here you will find information about several different gardening products, and how to use them to their best advantage.
Sleep
Having enough sleep is crucial if you want a healthy mind and body. When you have the 7-8 hours that most adults needs, your brain can process the events of the day and prepare itself for the next one. Your body heals more while you are sleeping and it releases hormones and compounds that lower the risk of health conditions.
A lack of sleep will make you sluggish and moody, but it is something that can be put right by simply going to bed earlier.
The Little Ways
Just think about your life and you will realize there are little things you can do to help keep you fit. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, for instance, and walk a little quicker than you usually do.
Often, it is the little things that make the difference, so try introducing them into your life.

These are some great ideas. I always take the stairs where possible and park as far from the supermarket as I can so I need to walk a little further. Upping your water intake and getting a good night’s sleep are two things I need to work on a little more. To be honest I seem to go through phases with water, I’m usually very good when it’s hot out.
I love all the tips mentioned in your post Anna…personally I try to imbibe all of them in my life😊..As I suffer from PCOS , water and healthy diet have totally impacted my lifestyle and skin..🤗
Great tips! I think your last point so key as well – tiny changes like taking the stairs can make such a difference. I make a point of going out for a walk at lunch when working in the office – it’s healthy, plus makes my mind feel a bit better as well.
Great idea with the walk on your lunch break!
