You finally decided to make a blog, you’ve put your passion and time into it and now you kinda want to make a living out of it? Does this sound like something you’ve thought about it? Because I did. After a few months of blogging I’ve decided that I wanted to try to earn some money from it. Being a dental student doesn’t leave me with a lot of extra time so making some money from my blog is the “easiest” way to help with the expenses around the house.
So here are some ways you can start making money by doing what you enjoy! Fell free to leave any suggestions in the comments down below and let’s help each others.
” VigLink does two main things: we affiliate existing merchant links on a publisher’s site (which can be a website, mobile app, social media, etc.), and we insert links for brand and merchant names that appear in a publisher’s content. An example of the latter is turning common merchant/product keywords or phrases to affiliate links, like “iPhone.” “
I only started to use this one a few weeks ago and I’ve already made a few money. You have to reach a certain amount to be able to get your money but if you are advertising a lot of products you will get there in no time.

2. GOOGLE AD SENSE
This one is a nice way to make some money from you ads. I was rejected the first time I’ve applied but I tried again a few months later after working on my blog a bit more. With this one, you can place ads anywhere on your blog and you get payed anytime someone click on your link. I’ve decided to place mine on my sidebars because I don’t really like reading a blog post and seeing a lot of ads in between the lines, but this is totally up to you.
One thing I’ve learned after using it is that you should not expect to earn a lot of money from it, except if you have a lot of traffic on your blog. I didn’t even made 1€ out of it yet and I’ve had it for some time but I know that some people are really making some money with this one.
3. GUEST POSTS WRITTEN ON YOUR BLOG
This one might be kinda hard at first because you really have to find (or be found) by someone who wants to write a guest post on your blog. There are people out there who will be willing to pay you to host their post. One thing I recommend before asking for money (if they won’t offer it) is to first have some traffic on your blog and to ask for a smaller amount of money if you are still at the beginning. Don’t go asking for 50£ if 3 people read your blog. I know we all think we are worth it, and we are because we spend our time writing, but a lot of people really go for the numbers and not your talent…You can easily increase the money you want to receive asking nicely after you’ve worked with them for a few.
4. GET BLOGGED
On this site you can find a lot of payed blogging opportunities. You just go and search for opportunities according to your DA score, apply for them and hope for the best. I didn’t used this one so much especially since our DA dropped (thank you changes that happened a while ago haha) but I know some people really made some money from getting some assignments.

5. AFFILIATE MARKETING
This one is another great way to make some money. What you have to do is to apply to such programs and every times someone buys a products or create an account by using your link you get a commission out of it. One site that I’ve been using is ShareASale ( You can sign up using this link ). You can find a lot of brand there and all you have to do is to apply and wait to be accepted.
Amazon also has an affiliate program but if you are not making a sale in a certain amount of time your account will be close (thing that happened to me). So if you are promoting a lot of products that can be found on Amazon you might consider applying for it.
SiteGround (or the affiliate program from you host). SiteGround is the one that I chose to get hosted with (you can read about it here) and I would never go back. They made the process really simple and my blog was up and running in no time. I’ve stressed them before with a lot of questions because I really wanted to make sure they are the right choice. And they definitely were!

” The friendly way for fans to support your work for the price of a coffee. “
Ko-Fi is a site that let’s you promote yourself and people can donate and help you by buying you a coffee. There are a lot of people using it for different goals so don’t ever be ashamed of it.
If you want to buy me a coffee you can do it buy using this link.
Twitter is you best friend when it comes to literally everything! It drives blog traffic, it helps you find other blogs and really nice people and it also helps you score some good blogging opportunities. You can use the #prrequest tag if you are looking to collaborate with someone on different topics and you can also search the #bloggerswanted tag to find brands or PRs looking for bloggers. I’ve scored some good opportunities from Twitter so I recommend it deeply.

8. CREATE SOMETHING
If you are cooking, painting, writing or doing anything creating you can use your talent to create and sell your product. You can sell them on your blog, like I did, or on eBay or Amazon.
In case you didn’t know, I’ve written a recipe eBook that I am sure you will love (or hope). You can buy it here.
Please note that some of the links above are affiliate links, and at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you decide to make a purchase after clicking through the link.
